Creating Social Media Content When You Have Nothing to Start With

It is easier than you think to create content when you start from zero, you just got to think outside the box.

Creating Content to Post on Social When Your Business Is Starting Can Be Tricky But Possible.

When creating content to promote on social media, there are many ideas of what posts to make, but what happens when your business is right at the beginning?

I have encountered many situations like it:

  • The website is published, but a new one is in development.

  • There is a presentation ready for pitches but nothing else.

  • Blogs and Events are in the works but not ready yet.

I have often encountered these situations with SaaS and digital products, but I have seen the question posted often in groups too. The answer might be easier than you think.

Answer your audience's pain points and connect with them.

to create content that can connect with your audience, you must first define who your audience is. Creating a profile of your ideal client can help you realize who you need to talk to, where to talk to them and how to answer the simplest questions they will have: How will your product help them?

Go beyond your product.

Yes, your product us great but in the end, there are so many posts people want to see about your product. And when you are starting and have zero content to draw from, you look outside your product and into the industry you are targeting.

  • If your product solves time, talk about productivity hacks.

  • If your product is in the beauty industry, talk about the latest trends or create your own!

  • If your product solves a problem many didn’t realize it was one, then you bring awareness to the current state of your industry.

Your business will always solve a problem. No matter how easy it will be, think about the person you are solving it for and create content for them that they can relate to in a funny way or tips they can learn from you to start the trust process.

When you have little to know assets to create social media content, you can think of solving more then the problem your product solves. Answer questions your audience is asking about related topics and build that connection. As you grow, your content will too and so will your business.

P.S. If you like this, don’t forget to share it with your friends and watch for a new post next week. Until then, create with intent.
